@DumbestCrayon I almost always get the top ball in 🙂 I’m not disagreeing with you I just thought I’d point that? out XD

@slimj091 Notice I said VNEA rules, not all rules. Also, the bottom corners are the most likely to go in on a break. If they’re both the same color then the chances of getting two of the same color are greater thus giving the person breaking a higher chance of starting with 5 balls. Simple logic would tell you? that racking this way would be senseless but, by all means, rack as you wish.

@DumbestCrayon the only rule in racking 8-ball among all leagues is the eight ball is in the center spot. some league’s require you to rack with one strip in one bottom corner, and one solid in the other. other leagues don’t. some leagues require you to have the one ball and only the one ball at the foot spot of the? rack, other leagues require any one of the stripe balls to be in the foot spot, and yet in other leagues still the rack is completely random except for the eight ball.

I don’t know why people are having disagreements, as long? as the 1’s in front, and the 8’s in the center in an 8-Ball game is good enough.

Uh … why give your opponent the advantage by leaving the two solids on the corners? The corners are the most likely to go in. With a perfectly positioned rack and perfectly struck, both will go in every time. So you’re already down 2. BCA rules require that corners have balls from opposite sets – one stripe, one solid.? And what is it that you think the alternating stripe solid in the rest of the rack does? The rest of the rack does not matter, except the 8 in the middle.

It took you waaaaaaay too long to rack incorrectly. You never have? two of the same ball on the bottom edges. You should know that the only thing that matters in an 8 ball rack is the 8 ball is in the middle and the two bottom edge balls are one stripe and one solid. google VNEA rules.

lol it’s totally wrong how u racked the balls, there is supposed to be a stripe and a solid on each end of the bottom of the triangle… i? used to rack em the same as u are demonstrating, when i was eleven

The balls are racked in a? triangle at the foot of the table with the 8-ball in the center of the triangle, the first ball of the rack on the foot spot, a stripe ball in one corner of the rack and a solid ball in the other corner.
